Are you ready to immerse yourself in a journey of local flavors and traditions that began three centuries ago? Every afternoon we accompany you on a tour of our resort's wineries, starting from the vineyards, where the whole wine-making process begins.

You'll be able to go back in time and follow the same route that old farmers used to take when Baglio Oneto was a noble estate. You'll explore the historic courtyard and the Palmento Room, where grapes were laid down in berries to be crushed before being transferred to barrels. After a brief stop in the manor house, we will guide you to the Ageing Cellar, a room that has never stopped keeping its fascinating atmosphere intact. You will get to taste our fine wines, accompanied by a selection of Sicilian cured meats, cheeses, and cookies.

At the origins of our wine resort

Back in the 1700s, Baglio Oneto was just a noble family manor. It was then turned into a resort, and soon after that, the noble art of hospitality was joined by the wine and olive oil production. A long-standing tradition that is recalled directly by the name. In fact, the term "Baglio" comes from Arabic and means "fortified house." The high walls, the majestic crenelated tower, and the large wrought-iron portal protected Baglio Oneto's crops from theft and looting.

The quality of Baglio Oneto's production was recognized early on, as evidenced by the "Oneto dei Principi di San Lorenzo" wine label. Kept in our cellar, it bears the coat of arms of our family and that of the Sacred Apostolic Palaces, of which our ancestors were official suppliers. Centuries later, the love for our land is still the same.

Our passion is the first ingredient in the 8 types of wine produced in our fields. The most famous is the meditation wine Marsala D.O.C., followed by Zibibbo, Inzolia, Nero d'Avola, Grillo and Merlot.
